YIN YOGA

A calm, slow practice to help you release tension, soften stiffness, and properly switch off. Beginners are welcome

Yin Yoga is a slow, restorative practice where postures are held for a few minutes at a time. The holds give your body time to soften and lengthen naturally, supporting flexibility, joint mobility, and a calmer nervous system. It’s deeply grounding and a brilliant weekly reset if life feels busy or your body feels tight.

Over time it can improve flexibility and mobility by supporting the fascia and connective tissues around the joints, helping areas like hips, hamstrings, spine and shoulders feel less stiff and more open. The slower pace also helps the nervous system shift out of fight or flight, which can ease stress held in the body, reduce tension patterns, and support better rest and recovery.

Many people notice they move more freely, breathe more easily, and feel calmer and more grounded after regular practice.

WHY YIN YOGA?

Yin is slow. It’s quiet. It gives you space.

In Yin Yoga we hold gentle postures for a few minutes at a time. The aim is not to push or perform. It’s to soften, breathe, and allow the body to open in its own time.

My classes are welcoming and beginner friendly. You do not need to be flexible. You just need to arrive as you are.

I’m passionate about wellbeing, but I’m also realistic. This is not about perfection or “fixing yourself.” It’s about small, consistent steps that make you feel better over time.

To keep classes consistent and fair, I use a simple monthly or weekly booking system:

Standing spot: If you come regularly, you can request a standing spot. This means you’ll be offered a place each week as long as you book and pay on time. Booking and payment need to be made before Monday morning to secure your place for that week.

Ad hoc bookings: You can also book ad hoc if there’s space. Classes do fill up, so it’s first come, first served.

Cancellation policy: To keep the classes running smoothly and fairly, weekly bookings are confirmed once payment has been received. Payments are non refundable and hold your place for that week, as spaces are limited and classes often fill up.

"I started coming to Angela’s classes to support my running and to overcome some injuries. I didn’t think it would be a long term activity for me, but over a year later, I’m still going and could not imagine giving it up!

Yin Yoga has truly helped the way my body feels and recovers, less creaky joints. Angela really understands how to help each individual and to teach us how to look after our bodies, so that we become stronger. The added bonus is the people I have met. The community is supportive, welcoming and inspiring."
